Once upon a time, a Southern California funk princess named Paula went out to buy herself a new car. "How about one of those kicky little SUVs," she thought. The deal was done. But just before they handed her the keys, she noticed the tire cover proudly advertising the dealer. She shrieked in horror, "That's hideous! Do you have anything else?" Their response was a negative grunt. "Now that just won't do," she thought. So, Paula began to search, and search, and search, but to her dismay, there were no tire covers that befitted her or her car's personality.
Being a clever gal, she thought, "Harumph, I'll just make my own." And so she did. Friends and family squealed in delight, "How fun is that! You should sell those." Alas, she thought, "I'm creative and clever, but sadly I have no head for business." Thus, another good idea bites the dust. But then one day, not long after, Paula met New Orleans funk princess Danielle, who has a knack for raising up such ideas and giving them a life of their own. When Paula retorted her usual "I don't have a head for business," Danielle exclaimed, "I do!" and the rest is history.
Paula currently resides in Los Angeles where the roads are long and the SUVs abundant. Having recently returned from East Africa, where everyone has two spare tires on the back of their SUVs, she dreams of taking Tanzania by storm. Danielle, meanwhile has returned to her native New Orleans to spread the word and is currently trying to figure out how to mount a spare tire on the back of a twin stroller.

TireCandy spare tire covers are made to order to fit the size of your tire. No more saggy, ugly tire covers for you! In order to get the tire cover that fits your spare perfectly, well need to know your tire size. But I have a 2004 CR-V, doesnt that tell you enough? Ah, that it were that easy! People put all kinds of different size tires on their vehicles, especially on Jeeps. So, go on out and look. The size can be found in raised lettering on the sidewall of your tire. It is an alphanumeric sequence that looks something like P215/70R16 (for metric tires) or 30x10.5R15. The entire sequence is important to determine the correct size. If your spare is a different size from the rest of your tires, thats the size you should give us, otherwise you can use any tire (like the one closest to your house).
Made of vinyl and vinyl-laminates, TireCandy tire covers have a colorful, patterned face and are mounted on heavy-duty black vinyl. Tire Candy are UV- protected and water resistant. Because they are snug, they take a little effort to put on, but you dont need to remove your tire. As with all vinyl products, their life expectancy is two to three years depending on environmental conditions. They will wear much like patio furniture, but are much more fun.
